This workshop is designed to develop your existing skills in dynamic assessment, specifically through the means of using a video-enhanced feedback (or 'feedforward') approach. The digital feedback approach will be demonstrated as an effective means of feeding back the results of dynamic assessment in such a way that will promote the potential success of a subsequent intervention plan. Recent research evidence has highlighted that the use of video is considered best practice for feedback, and the developing use of approaches such as VIG and VERP are further evidence of the increasing popularity of such a method of digital feedback. This workshop will consider this unique combination of dynamic assessment and video-enhanced feedback using real-life case studies as a basis for practical activities. We will consider: what to film and why; how to analyse video through the lens of DA; how to build and incorporate video and DA into your wider practice. The training is suitable for those who have attended previous dynamic assessment training and who wish to develop their existing skills further using video and evidence-based outcomes. This course is a precursor to our Expert Level Practitioner Programme. See BPS Certification Programme | Dynamic Assessment U for more details. This course is delivered jointly by Dr Fraser Lauchlan and Dr Suzy Shaw. Note: The next date available is Friday18th September 2026 (9.30am-4.00pm) (delivered online).
