In this workshop, we look at some of the theory and concepts of bilingualism and multilingualism and EAL learning, consider some of the advantages and disadvantages of being raised bilingual according to the literature, and explore implications and practical issues for educational psychologists and related professionals who work with these groups of children and young people. Note this course DOES NOT go into any depth about the use of dynamic assessment (DA). Please refer to our specific DA course for this.
